One of the UK’s most experienced hoteliers has taken on a new role at the Copthorne Hotel Sheffield.
Tim Cadman, originally from Ashbourne, in Derbyshire, has been appointed as the new general manager of the four-star city centre hotel, which is part of the Millennium and Copthorne group.
Tim joins from the Copthorne Hotel Manchester where he held the same position. A career in the hospitality industry has also seen Tim work for hotels including The Dorchester and The Belfry. He was also a former trouble shooter for hotels in Ireland and Liberia.
The Copthorne Hotel Sheffield is situated adjacent to Sheffield United’s Bramall Lane stadium and has 158 guest rooms and a Penthouse Suite. It is home to the 1855 bar and restaurant, which specialises in using seasonal, local ingredients.
Tim said: “I’m delighted to be coming back ‘home’ to work at such a prestigious hotel in the Millennium and Copthorne group.
“The Copthorne Hotel Sheffield is a fantastic product with a strong brand and a unique city centre location at the world’s oldest professional football ground.
“I’m looking forward to building on the success achieved over the last six years and I’m hugely excited about the opportunities ahead.”
