Jillian Thomas, the managing director of Sheffield-based Future Life Wealth Management, has been shortlisted for a top business award.
Jillian is on the shortlist of the Forward Ladies Women in Business Awards 2015, which are sponsored by HSBC and Microsoft.
Her company, which is based in Renishaw, is shortlisted in the SME Emerging Business of the Year category for the Yorkshire and North East region.
Future Life Wealth Management offers a bespoke financial planning service to generators and receivers of wealth, such as business owners and retirees.
Jillian, who is due to become president of Sheffield Chamber of Commerce in October, said: “It’s a great honour to be shortlisted, but it is not just about me, but the great team I have behind me.”
The shortlisted regional entries will find out at awards luncheon in Newcastle at the end of September if they have made it through to the national finals.
Forward Ladies managing director Griselda Togobo said: “The calibre of entries has been increasing year on year, but this year we have a number of outstanding entries, which have attracted women from all ages, all professions and all walks of life.”
Founded in 1999, Forward Ladies has a membership of thousands of businesswomen, from global companies to small businesses and start-ups. Its aim is to help women build networks and develop new skills.
