Art world comes to North Yorkshire for major expo at Harrogate International Centre

A major sale of original art from around the world will take place at HIC Yorkshire this autumn.

The Harrogate International Visual Arts Expo (HIVE2015) is a public event which will bring together artworks and galleries from the Far East and Europe as well pieces from Yorkshire artists.

HIC sales manager, Rebecca Turnbull said: “The organisers of the event visited Harrogate while they were looking for somewhere to stage the event and they loved the town so much they decided to bring it to HIC Yorkshire.

“We will be holding the show in Hall M, one of our biggest event spaces, and this is shaping up to be one of the art events of the year for North Yorkshire.”

A spokesman for HIVE 2015 said: “We have a fantastic selection of exhibitors bringing beautiful original art to the region. Galas Art Gallery is coming all the way from Bulgaria to show their portfolio at HIVE 2015.

“Hanoi Art House will be participating and specialises in contemporary art by several leading Vietnamese Artists. Diana Marshall will be travelling from Ireland to show us her fabulous still-life paintings.

“We’re very pleased that several galleries from the surrounding regions have also chosen HIVE to show their portfolios.
