Automatic enrolment seminars to be staged by Harrogate financial expert

A series of free workshops has been arranged by one of Harrogate’s leading accountancy practices to help local employers understand the implications of recent pension reforms.

Government regulations mean any business with at least one member of staff now has a legal obligation to provide a workplace pension, and many smaller companies will need to implement the changes during the next 18 months.

Teresa Bowe, founder and manager of CCF Accountancy, based on Victoria Avenue in Harrogate, said: “Auto-enrolment is the biggest change to happen in recent years when it comes to employment law, and employers must make sure they comply.

“We want to make the process as simple as possible for local businesses so CCF is putting on a number of free sessions to explain what they need to do and answer any questions people may have.”

The sessions, to take place at CCF’s offices, will be held as follows:

  • Wednesday, September 30, 5pm– 7pm
  • Friday, October 9, 8am–10am and 1pm–3pm
  • Monday, October 19, 10am–noon

An additional workshop will be held at CCF’s Liverpool office on Thursday, October 15 from 10am–noon.

Sessions are free to attend but places must be booked as places are limited. Light refreshments will be provided. For more information or to reserve a place, call 01423 567499 or email events@ccfaccountancy.co.uk.
