Barnsley-based Provide Education has appointed a new recruitment administrator to its expanding team.
Laura Smith, 18, has joined the specialist recruitment agency which places supply teachers and other staff into jobs in schools, operating a 24-hour rapid response service.
Laura, of Wombwell, will be based at Provide Education’s head office on Claycliffe Business Park, Barugh Green, Barnsley.
Her appointment brings the number of staff at Provide to 18 across three offices. The company works with more than 500 schools in South and West Yorkshire and the East Midlands; and has more than 2,200 teachers and non-teaching staff on its books.
Provide Education director Barry Simmons said: “It has been great to welcome Laura on board as an additional member of staff.
“We’ve had our busiest start to an academic year ever this term and are expanding our team to keep up with demand for our services.”
Laura has recently left Wath Comprehensive School sixth form and has previous part-time work experience with WHSmith in Barnsley and with a church charity based in Wath-upon-Dearne. This is her first position in the recruitment industry.
Laura said: “Everyone has been friendly and helpful and I am learning all about the company through my induction and training.”
Danielle Quinn has been promoted to senior administrator and compliance supervisor, following Laura’s appointment.
Established in 2007, Provide Education has seen year-on-year growth in turnover and has doubled its workforce with in the last four years.
As well as the Barnsley office serving South Yorkshire, Provide has two regional offices, one in Brighouse covering West Yorkshire and another in Worksop serving the East Midlands.
Provide Education works with schools, colleges, children’s centres and nurseries and finds jobs and work placements for teachers, special educational needs specialists, nursery nurses, cover supervisors, teaching assistants, exam invigilators, office administration staff, maintenance and cleaning staff.
