Following 12-months of growth, Yorkshire-based energy efficiency specialist, Ploughcroft Eco-Roof, is undergoing a major expansion as it moves into an impressive new headquarters in Halifax.
The company’s new ‘Eco-Roof Visitor Centre’ will be based in Whitehall Chambers on Halifax Road in Hipperholme, and will cover nearly 700 sq feet.
The building has undergone an extensive refit, and will double as a warehouse, and an education and visitor centre, giving the public the opportunity to learn about energy efficient home improvements. It is thought to be the only Eco-Roof education centre of its type in the country.
The move represents a period of strong growth for Ploughcroft that has seen it grow its residential offering, as homeowners wake up to the benefits of energy efficient home improvements.
At the same time, the company has also seen strong demand for its commercial and heritage roofing offering, most recently winning a major contract to refurbish the entire roof of the grade 1 listed building, Piece Hall, in Halifax.
Chris Hopkins, managing director at Ploughcroft, said: “This is an extremely exciting time for the company, and with our Eco-Roof visitor centre, we are creating our own little Whitehall, here in Yorkshire, helping turn Britain green, one building at a time.
“Our new headquarters will not only provide a showcase for our products and services, but will also be a friendly and inspiring place where customers and community groups can have a coffee and a chat to learn more about energy efficient home improvements.”
The Eco-Roof Visitor Centre opens officially on November 2, and will showcase all of Ploughcroft’s offerings including Eco-Roof and Eco-Wall insulation.
