IoD director general to speak at North Yorkshire annual dinner

The Institute of Directors’ Director General, Simon Walker, is the keynote speaker at this year’s North Yorkshire Annual Dinner at Rudding Park, Harrogate.

He will address the black-tie gathering, giving a national perspective on devolution and the Northern Powerhouse agenda. Simon was previously communications secretary to the Queen and an advisor to former Prime Minister John Major.

The North Yorkshire Annual Dinner takes place on Wednesday 11 November with places available to IoD members as well as non-members.

Simon will be joined by Jon Geldart, Grant Thornton’s executive dDirector, Markets Development, who will share his thoughts on the impact of China on the UK economy and the rest of the world. Master of ceremonies is Yorkshire comedian Howard Lee.
