Bierkeller Entertainment Complex is celebrating its best summer to date, with record takings for July and August, whilst also toasting the group’s fifth birthday.
This summer, Bierkeller diversified its offering even further by opening up Leeds’ first ice bar. The Coors Light Ice Bar welcomed 9,678 people through its -3° doors over its two month installation, and sales of Coors Light increased 2150 per cent on last year to a cool 4,500 bottles. As well as strong drink sales, takings from entry tickets to the event brought in just over £42,000 across the two months.
The inaugural site for the brand on Park Row in Leeds (which also owns and operates sites in Manchester, Liverpool and Cardiff), has been home to the Bierkeller, Shooters Sports Bar & Grill and Around the World in 80 beers since 2010. They quickly became ‘must-visit’ venues for the people of Leeds due to their diverse offering, delivering an experience like no other location in the city.
Peter Robinson, operations director for Burning Night Group, said: “By diversifying our offering and bringing Leeds its first ever ice bar, we have seen sales in July and August rise by 12%. The night life in Leeds has completely transformed over the five years we’ve been here, and with lots of new locations popping up, we’ve continued to adapt our offering.
“We’re very proud to have continued to flourish during the past five years providing employment for local people as well as a great range of nightlife options.”
