Harrogate accountancy firm, CCF Accountancy, is celebrating the appointment of a new senior accountant – one who is already a familiar face among the town’s business community.
Michael Best, an active member of Harrogate Chamber of Trade and twice former president of the town’s Junior Chamber International (JCI), has joined CCF after 14 years at another established local practice.
Harrogate born and bred, 40-year-old Michael is a Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA). He also graduated through the JCI Leadership Academy programme, which has given him a broad range of business skills not usually found within traditional tax and accountancy roles.
“I’m really excited about joining CCF as the company has a reputation for being a dynamic, forward-thinking practice,” said Michael.
“I’m especially impressed with the way they place their clients at the heart of all they do, as well all the other activities the team gets involved with such as the Yorkshire Business Market and, most recently, the Saint Michael’s Hospice You’re Inspired challenge.
“I’m passionate about making a real difference both to the clients I work with and the business community I’m part of, and I’m really excited about the opportunities that I believe will open up with CCF.
“I played a key role in my former company in establishing the local office and also gained invaluable sales and marketing experience as I was responsible for bringing new clients on board. I’m looking forward to using that to help CCF become even more successful in the future.”
Teresa Bowe, founder and manager of CCF Accountancy, which is based on Victoria Avenue, said: “I am absolutely delighted that Michael has decided to join us. We have known each other for some years and he is excellent at what he does – he has skills and abilities outside those you would expect from a traditional accountant.
“He believes in our mantra that ‘Clients Come First’, and I’m sure we will benefit from his knowledge and experience.”
