Sheffield based design and manufacturing specialist Birley Manufacturing has appointed Dean Battersby, 49, as operations director to strengthen its management team.
Responsible for the joinery and metal factory, with all aspects of manufacturing, planning, engineering, procurement and project co-ordination, Battersby has a wealth of operational experience gained at RM&C Ltd, Gripple Ltd and PMS Diecasting Ltd where he has held various management, director and non-executive director positions.
He holds a B.Eng [Hons] degree in Engineering and Business along with a Higher National Diploma [HND], Higher National Certificate [HNC] and Ordinary National Certificate [ONC] in Mechanical and Production Engineering.
Dean is passionate about UK and Yorkshire-based engineering and chose to be part of a growing SME. He wants to help develop the next generation of British manufacturers and enjoys helping transform businesses through enhanced growth through performance and cultural change.
Dean enjoys walking, traveling and keeping fit as well as spending time with his family.
