Sheffield opticians wins customer service award

A Sheffield opticians has been recognised for delivering the best customer service in the North region by national high street retailer, Scrivens Opticians & Hearing Care.

The branch in Glossop Road received the accolade at Scrivens’ annual conference and awards ceremony.

Manager Helen Rowding, who has worked there for more than 30 years, said: “It’s great to win the Customer Service Award. We have a very good team who go the extra mile to help people and our customers appreciate this.

“Some have been coming to us for over 40 years. Our customers return even if they have left the Sheffield area. We have customers who come from all over, including France and Scotland.

“We are friendly and professional and treat people as individuals. We work hard at remembering who they are, greeting them by name and keeping in touch with them.”

Branches are ranked by how well they deliver customer service and this is based on a number of different factors, the most important being feedback from customers. There are 35 branches in the North region.

Commenting on the annual awards, Scrivens Opticians chairman Nicholas Georgevic, said: “The success of our business is thanks to the fantastic people who work in our branches to deliver a great community and customer focused service.

“Congratulations to the Glossop Road branch on winning our Customer Service Award, it is well deserved.”

Scrivens Opticians & Hearing Care is a family run business which was established in 1938. It has 178 stores in England and Wales, with 1,000 employees.
