NatWest has given its backing to the first Yorkshire Women in Business Day by becoming the headline sponsor.
Taking place in the centre of Leeds, the event will feature expert speakers as well as the opportunity to network with representatives of some of the region’s leading businesses.
With tickets almost sold out, organiser Paula Grizzard said: “I’m delighted that NatWest have shown their support for Yorkshire business women by becoming our headline sponsor.
“Like me, they recognise the impressive and important work being done by women across so many sectors in Yorkshire. With great plans for the future of the region, including the Northern Powerhouse, it is the perfect time to celebrate the contribution of women to our economy and promote the many ways they make a real difference to so many businesses.”
Lorna Blackett from NatWest said: “When we heard about the first Yorkshire Women in Business Day, we knew immediately we wanted to be part of it.
“Through our business banking services, our staff deal with some truly outstanding business women every day and we are constantly impressed by their dedication, talent and innovation. We are thrilled to be able to show our support to them by sponsoring Yorkshire Women in Business Day and we are confident it will be the first of many successful events.”
The event takes place today at the Novotel City Hotel in Leeds.
