Sheffield businessman’s first attempt at growing a moustache raises £2k for charity

A Sheffield businessman’s first attempt at growing a moustache has raised £2,000 for charity.

Westfield Health’s chairman, Graham Moore, has raised the money in support of the Movember Foundation, a global charity committed to helping men live happier, healthier, longer lives.

Graham was joined by five members of staff from Sheffield United – the club where the health insurer is a major sponsor – who also raised a further £130 for Movember.

Vice President at the Blades, Graham had never grown a moustache before and had been nervous about the prospect.

He said: “Having previously worked for Gillette, not shaving has felt very strange but it’s for a great cause.

“However, this year the Movember challenge was not just about growing a moustache, it was also about encouraging people to be more active.

“This is something we feel very strongly about at Westfield Health. We work hard to ensure our staff and our customers stay fit and healthy, so we’ve been really proud join with SUFC and get behind the initiative.”

Movember expanded its fundraising options this year with the “Move in Movember” campaign which challenged fundraisers to take part in physical activity every day throughout November.
