Employees from Yorkshire Bank helped raise almost £6000 as part of activities to mark World Aids Day last week.
Hundreds of employees joined colleagues from sister organisation Clydesdale Bank to raise money for the Terrance Higgins Trust.
The activities, which included a bake sale, raffles, tombolas and the sale of World Aids Day ribbons, were held at 10 locations across the country including the bank’s Head Office in Merrion Way, Leeds, as well as London and Glasgow.
Clydesdale Bank’s Head Office building in St Vincent Place, Glasgow, was lit up red to reflect the colour of the World Aids Day ribbon while the building’s ticker tape displayed a message of support.
A spokesperson said: “This is a very important cause and we are delighted to play our part in helping to combat this issue through fundraising and awareness activities.”
