Digital marketing company, Pepamint, has won the Theo Paphitis #SBS award.
The weekly business competition aims to recognise and reward innovative small businesses across the UK.
The weekly Twitter Hashtag hour, #SBS (Small Business Sunday), runs between 5:00pm and 7:30pm every Sunday. The competition involves businesses tweeting a ‘pitch’ to Theo in an attempt to sell their product or service. Theo then personally chooses his favourite six businesses to retweet to his 450,000 followers.
Pepamint were one of six lucky businesses to win the award. Entrepreneur Nicola Mellor founded Pepamint in 2013 when she saw a gap in the market for providing specialist social media services to businesses.
The four strong team at Pepamint deliver creative and dynamic tailored Social Media, PR and Marketing services to manage and increase businesses online and offline presence.
The award has provided a boost for Pepamint, with hundreds of new followers and engagements from businesses across the region. The award also allows the company to join the prestigious SBS community of SME’s (small and medium-sized enterprises) along with an opportunity to meet Theo himself.
Nicola said: “I’m absolutely thrilled at the news of us winning our first award. The company has seen significant growth over the last year and this award is just the icing on the cake, what a fantastic year it has been!”
