Eurovia’s Clare runs Clumber for Hospice

Clare Habbin from Rotherham-based Eurovia UK’s HS&E department, has run 10k through Clumber Park in Nottinghamshire to raise money for Rotherham Hospice.

With over 700 people taking part and accomplishing a personal best, Clare finished the race in 48 minutes and was the 15th female over the final finish line.

Clare said: “The Clumber Park trial run series was an amazing experience and I feel very grateful to everyone that sponsored both me and my close friends.  A lot of training has been involved!  Thanks also to Eurovia for a very welcome matched funding raising in excess of £1,200. It was hard work but so worthwhile for a truly worth cause.”

Rotherham Hospice is the chosen charity for Eurovia Contracting North, who have been working hard throughout the year to raise funds, some of the events include sale of raffle tickets at a local beer festival, supermarket bag packing, sponsored walks, alongside the usual office games, raffles, cake sales and dress down days, they are always looking for new ideas.

With around £3000 raised so far in 2015 for Rotherham Hospice, the money from this 10k event will give the boost needed to beat their 2014 achievement of £4000.
