The sales team at one of the UK’s most famous sports grounds has been honoured at a special award ceremony.
The Sodexo Prestige Venues & Events team, at Headingley Experience, which manages conferencing and events at Headingley Carnegie Stadium, Leeds, saw off competition from venues across the UK to win Sodexo’s Sales and Marketing Team of the Year award for stadia and racecourse venues.
The annual sales and marketing conference and awards dinner is held by Sodexo to recognise the contribution made by its sales teams to the growth of the business.
Headingley Experience scooped the top award following a highly successful year for sales staff at the ground – home to Leeds Rhinos and the Yorkshire County Cricket Club – in which they exceeded their sales budget by an impressive 22 per cent.
The award ceremony took place at Dundas Castle, West Lothian, Scotland and was attended by more than 50 sales managers, general managers and directors from Sodexo Prestige Venues & Events teams around the UK.
Following a three-course dinner, created by award-winning Prestige Venues & Events chef, Tom Beauchamp, the awards were presented by former Northern Ireland international footballer and Cowdenbeath manager Jimmy Nicholl.
