York’s Best Western Monkbar Hotel has been “Top Rated” in a national awards scheme run by one of the world’s biggest travel booking websites.
The hotel – which has just boosted its AA ranking from three to four stars following the completion of a £3m investment scheme – was presented with the accolade from LateRooms.com, in its Simply The Guest Awards 2016.
The awards are the only UK hotel awards based solely on genuine guest reviews – calculated through the review ratings given by guests who have actually stayed at a property and gone on to publish a review on the LateRooms.com website.
And the “Top Rated” title is only given to a select band of venues in recognition of their excellent record of positive reviews.
