Britain’s most convenient retailer appoints MCG for major PR programme

Britain’s most convenient retailer Costcutter Supermarkets Group has appointed MCG to deliver an extensive trade and corporate PR programme.

The 2,600-store symbol group, which includes Costcutter, Mace, Kwiksave, Supershop and Simply Fresh, has commissioned the consultancy to work across its national store portfolio.

“We’re all increasingly shopping little and often and Costcutter Supermarkets Group has been at the forefront of that convenience market for nearly 30 years, helping independent retailers thrive,” said PR and Communications Manager Simon Brown.

“MCG demonstrated extensive experience in retail, consumer brands and franchise and we’re looking forward to working with them on a comprehensive trade and stakeholder programme which clearly communicates the strength of our offer.”

MCG Director Christine Mortimer said: “This is a significant win for us, playing to our strengths in the food and retail sectors as well as with national brands and networks.”

Award-winning agency MCG has offices in Leeds and London with a client list of national brands and businesses, including TaxAssist Accountants, Pink Lady® apples, Tenderstem®, Damart, Vileda, Wasabi and Cabana.
