The Institute of Directors (IoD) has announced two headline speakers for its first ever South Yorkshire Annual Dinner.
Lady Barbara Judge CBE, national chair of the IoD, will join Master Cutler Craig McKay for the black-tie event, which takes place at the Cutlers’ Hall, Sheffield, on 25 May.
Lady Judge is a trained commercial lawyer, with a wealth of experience from senior executive and non-executive roles in the private and public sectors. She is currently chair of the Pension Protection Fund and the Energy Institute of University College London, as well as a non-executive director of Portmeirion Group.
Craig McKay was installed as Master of the Company of Cutlers in Hallamshire in October 2015, becoming the 377th Master Cutler. He is chief executive of Sheffield-based engineering business Evenort and sits on the Industrial Advisory boards of Sheffield Hallam University and the AMRC Training Centre.
IoD members include directors from across the business spectrum from manufacturing to professional services and the public sector.
Keith Jackson, chairman of the IoD in South Yorkshire, said: “This promises to be a memorable social event with inspiring speakers and great company. Our aim is to create an annual dinner that becomes acknowledged as one of the region’s most prestigious business events.”
The dinner is on 25 May from 7pm. Tickets are £70 for IoD members and £85 for non-members. Tables of ten are available. To book a place, email firstname.lastname@example.org
