Close Brothers Asset Management launches free investment and retirement seminars in Leeds

Close Brothers Asset Management (CBAM) will be hosting its second set of educational seminars in Leeds to address two of the key challenges people face in managing money – investing and planning for retirement.

Tomorrow, experts from CBAM will be on hand to help people understand the specific issues they face, and how they can tackle them.

One seminar will examine investing in a low interest rate environment, looking at the current economic climate, how to invest prudently, the alternatives to cash and different levels of risk, how to cope with inflation and how to retain a flexible approach to investing.

The second, “Before and at retirement”, will explore how to maximise pensions in the approach to retirement, how to increase wealth over the long-term, and how to pass wealth to future generations. Attendees will have the opportunity to receive clear, practical guidance and address any questions they may have about how to grow their wealth.

Experts on hand to host the seminars include Penny Lovell, head of Private Client Services, Andy Cumming, head of Wealth Management, as well as Patrick Haines.

Attendees are required to book a place on the seminars with a single telephone call –and they are invited to bring a friend or professional adviser with them. Seminars will be held at Weetwood Hall, LS16 5PS.

Andy Cummings at Close Brothers Asset Management said: “Making long-term financial plans and investments can be bewildering. These seminars are designed to help people understand how best to manage and grow their wealth, and how best to use it to support their later life, and when to seek financial advice.

“With increasing life expectancy, understanding how to build a sufficiently large pension pot, and using it appropriately in retirement, is more important than ever. Equally, with interest rates still at a six year low, knowing how to invest to secure sufficient returns has never been more crucial.

“Knowledge of risk and asset allocation is crucial to ensuring people are making informed decisions. With this in mind, we are excited to offer our expertise to help people navigate the complex options available to them and understand the value of long-term planning and investment.”
