Yorkshire Wildlife Park to unveil new conference and event packages for 2016

Yorkshire Wildlife Park is to officially launch their new 2016 conference packages on Tuesday 15 March with a free business open day to Yorkshire businesses.

The packages will include new bolt on VIP experiences, specialist menus from the Park’s new corporate chef Dustin Hildebrand and facilities which now include a new larger space, Tsavo Lodge.

The business open day will consist of a welcome presentation by the Park’s events team, followed by a light lunch and a guided tour of the facilities with free entry in to the Park afterwards. Businesses who attend will also have an exclusive taster experience of the brand new ‘Animal Energisers’, where groups will experience a VIP up close experience and personal insight from one of the animal rangers.

Chris White, events and functions manager, said: “We are incredibly lucky to have such an amazing setting here at Yorkshire Wildlife Park and want to welcome businesses in the local area to see for themselves what’s on offer.

“The open day will allow delegates to have a taste of what their meetings and events would look like at the Park, meet the staff and network with other businesses in the area. We hope the open day will ensure businesses know what’s available here, and how great a venue this is to host a conference.”

Included in the packages are brand new menus by the Park’s new corporate chef. Catered for every event Dustin Hildebrand,  who previously worked at Disney in Florida, uses locally sourced produce to deliver a range of menus from delicious three course meals to relaxed buffets and BBQs.

Yorkshire Wildlife Park’s BBQ’s are set within the unique Caramba Gardens, overlooking the South American vista. Catering for up to 70, guests can enjoy afresco dining to Champagne receptions, whilst hearing the sound of lions roaring.

Corporate Family Days will be introduced to allow organisations a less formal option to mix business with pleasure or just to reward the team. For company away days, organisations will now be able to offer family days out for staff that provides access to the Park for the whole family to enjoy, whilst including bolt on options for use of the corporate facilities. The perfect option for company summer BBQ’s!

The new facility, Tsavo Lodge now provides a separate location for conferencing within the Park grounds and from summer 2016 will accommodate up to 160 delegates. This traditional African Safari canvas marquee, is a truly unique space which offers fantastic views into the Park, where delegates will have views over the African Plains, which are currently being extended and relandscaped to include reserves for the giraffe and new black rhino this summer.

Also from Tsavo, guests can look out to Lion Country, home to a pride of lions rescued from a run-down zoo in Romania, who now roam in the 9 acre reserve with its lake and waterfall.

Another of the Park’s new packages is the Wild Weddings. Partnered with the Crown Hotel in Bawtry, the Park’s Wedding Packages offer a completely unforgettable experience for couples.

Welcoming up to 80 guests for the ceremony in the Outlook Suite overlooking the Park, couples have the opportunity afterwards to have wedding photographs taken at one of the animal reserves and maybe enjoy relaxed drinks in the picturesque Caramba Gardens, surrounded by beautiful tropical plans. The reception is then held at the Crown Hotel, where guests can enjoy a sumptious reception tailored to their request.

Yorkshire Wildlife Park is Yorkshire’s most acclaimed and fastest growing tourist attraction. Welcoming over 2.7m visitors through the door since its opening six years ago, the Park is an innovative walkthrough park providing unrivalled access to some of the most amazing and endangered animals in the world.

Last year the Park opened the second phase of the magnificent new Polar Bear reserve; Project Polar, which is home to Victor, Pixel, Nissan and new arrival Nobby. These are the largest carnivores in the world and are the only Polar bears in England.
