The Deltic Group, operator of PRYZM Leeds, has been hailed Responsible Retailer of the Year in prestigious national industry awards.
The company also won the accolade for Best Late Night Operator and Best Operations Team at The Publican Awards, the biggest event in the hospitality industry calendar.
Deltic Group is the UK’s largest clubs and bar operator with 58 venues nationwide and is committed to the safety and enjoyment of its customers. Over the last 12 months, the company has invested in training programmes, changed its approach to drinks retailing and worked closely with suppliers to put responsibility at the heart of the business.
To further improve the customer experience, Deltic has transformed its door security policy and recruited new female customer care ambassadors to support vulnerable customers. It has also worked with local initiatives such as PubWatch, Purple Flag and Street Pastors.
Chief executive Peter Marks said: “To win three awards is a significant achievement and recognises the progress we have made throughout the business. The late night sector is an important part of Leeds’ economy; by operating responsibility we can make sure that our customers enjoy a safe and fun night out.
We continue to work closely with the police and local authorities to drive social responsibility in a real partnership approach; all late night operators in Leeds want to offer the highest possible standards and this award is recognition of the progress we have made.”
The Deltic Group employs more than 3,000 employees in its clubs and bars throughout the UK.
