The four-star property partnered with its leisure club members to collect the sleeping bags as part of its ‘spirit to serve’ programme, a commitment to give back to the local area.
Opened in 1999, the Thornbury Centre is a multi-purpose centre for the local community, aiming to bring people together to achieve positive change, as well as hosting a variety of community projects.
Jenny Reay, leisure membership manager at Hollins Hall Marriott Hotel & Country Club, said: “The Thornbury Centre does some fantastic work in our community and ensures those struggling with homelessness can get the help they need.
“Such a simple initiative can make a big difference when it comes to helping those who experience homelessness and we intend to implement more projects in future that will contribute to the area.
“The team and our leisure club members were very keen to get involved and we’re very pleased to be able to donate in this way.”
