The demand for new homes continues to rise at an unprecedented rate and to support this in Yorkshire, one housebuilder continues to seek opportunities to bring developments to the region.
Miller Homes will open the doors to four new developments this year and – across all its sites which range from Harrogate in the North, Gainsborough in the South, Cottingham in the East and Eastburn in the West – almost 400 homes are schedule to be constructed helping to alleviate the shortfall of homes in the region
“We take great pride in bringing quality homes to the people of Yorkshire in areas which support a variety of lifestyles from rural communities to city centre locations,” said Steve McElroy sales director Miller Homes Yorkshire. “Our properties range from one bedroom apartments up to five bedroom executive homes and this great cross section of property choice continues in our newest developments.”
In addition to investing in the local communities in Yorkshire the housebuilder employs a large team to facilitate every part of its housebuilding operations in the county from land acquisition to sales. Interestingly, 30 per cent of its homes built this year will form part of brand new developments as the team enjoys continued growth in the region.
“The latest report by the National Housing Federation (NHF) shows that less than 47 per cent of new homes required in the Yorkshire and Humber region are being constructed,” said Steve. “And, whilst we can’t solve this problem singlehandedly, we are determined to play a significant part in alleviating the issue and bring quality new homes to the region.”
New Homes Week, an initiative by the Home Builders Federation (HBF) which takes place between 16th – 22nd May across the country, aims to showcase housebuilding across the UK and promote the benefits of buying new.
Steve added: “A dedicated week to the benefits of new homes is a superb initiative and allows us along with other house builders to highlight what we do to make it a positive experience. A brand new Miller home comes with several benefits including lower maintenance, a range of purchase initiatives to give buyers a helping hand and the chance to enjoy a housebuying experience with a difference.”
A further three developments at Eastburn, Apperley Bridge and Harrogate will open during 2016. Properties currently available range from one bedroom apartments priced from £69,995 to five bedroom luxury homes priced at £830,000.
