Health insurer Westfield Health has today announced its partnership as the preferred healthcare supplier with start-up Untangl as it launches its new employee benefits service.
Founded just over a year ago and aimed at making life much more simple for the UK’s start-up and small employer communities, Untangl works with leading benefit suppliers to provide a packaged blend of benefits that can be set up in minutes.
Westfield Health, a multi award winning health cash plan provider, will offer Untangl customers a flexible and innovative healthcare plan, allowing them access to valuable health and wellbeing services.
Executive director at Westfield Health, Paul Shires, said: “SMEs are crucial to the success of the UK economy, with small enterprises making up around 99 percent of private sector businesses.
“But often for small business owners, managing employee benefits can be a time consuming and complex task.”
Untangl’s Co-founder and CEO, Richard Stewart, said: “Untangl is focussed on simplicity. The entire quote and application process has been stripped down to make it quick and effortless.
“Untangl isn’t just another tech platform, while we’re proud of our cloud-based service it’s the pre-selected supplier relationships that are key. We want to provide an alternative that removes the costs and complexity of the traditional approach for the thousands of employers that want simple, good value benefits.
“It’s no secret that advisers struggle to service the smaller employer market and that’s understandable – without a radically different approach, it just doesn’t work for them. We chose to look at what needed to be improved from the customer perspective and fix it. And, with the help of some great benefit suppliers such as Westfield Health, that’s what we’ve done.”
The service has no set up fee and a small monthly service charge, which is being waived during a launch offer period.
Richard added: “Most employers want to do the right thing for their employees and there are some great value benefit products out there. Now employers of all sizes can access them in minutes, then get on with running their businesses.”
Paul Shires added: “We’re really excited to be partnering with a business which is opening up the market for start-ups and smaller businesses.
“As the backbone of the UK economy, it is really important we get behind our SMEs, and this is something we’re very proud of at Westfield Health.”
