A chartered financial planner from Sheffield has been shortlisted for a prestigious award designed to honour the contribution women make to business in the Yorkshire region.
Samantha Williams, 28, from Killamarsh, has been recognised in the Rising Star category at the Yorkshire Women in Business Awards, which are being held tomorrow. Samantha works for Future Life Wealth Management and has been with the company for two years.
Future Life Wealth Management, based in Renishaw, offers a bespoke financial planning service to generators of wealth, typically business owners, executives and professionals and also to receivers of wealth, such as inheritors, divorcees, widows and retirees.
The company has grown significantly since it was launched by founder Jillian Thomas at her home in 2009, now employing eight members of staff and helping more than 350 clients.
Samantha said: “I am delighted to have been shortlisted for this prestigious award. It was a lovely surprise to find out that I had been nominated and shortlisted – to have made it this far is great!
“During my time at Future Life Wealth Management I have completed the Advanced Diploma, gaining the professional Chartered Financial Planner status in November 2015. The whole team at Future Life are extremely supportive and I am really proud to be representing the company at the awards ceremony.
“I am looking forward to attending the ceremony with Jillian, who is also nominated for an award. We will definitely be flying the flag for businesswomen in the Sheffield City Region.”
