Spin Print upgrades its digital capacity

A South Yorkshire Print firm has upgraded its digital capacity with an investment in new printing , taking its investment this year up to £400,000.

has upgraded its small format digital department with the addition of an iGen4 digital press.

The iGen4 will allow the firm to vastly improve turnaround while enhancing its digital capacity with brilliant image quality.

Capable of printing up to 110 sheets per minute, the 4-colour iGen4 includes an in-line spectrophotometer that automates colour adjustments and calibration, automatic density control and high definition linearization that eliminates the need for grayscale calibration.

The new addition is ideal for short run jobs such as on demand printing of books, high-end collateral, photo specialty products, brochures, flyers, postcards, newsletters, catalogues and manuals.

The investment follows on from the addition of an large format flatbed digital press in January and will replace a Xerox 1000 currently used by the firm.

said “We have seen an upturn in short run jobs so the added productivity, quality and proven technology of the iGen meant it was a no brainer.

“Along with our Xerox 800 production press and MGI Meteor, the iGen means we now have a great digital suite to cope with the quick turnaround demands required by our customers.

“The iGen has the capacity to print a 6pp A4 sheet and complements our offset production with its matt dry ink and in-line spectrophotometer making colour profiling and spot colour calibration more accurate and stable.”
