Fortis Student Living, which provides luxury student accommodation in Sheffield and other locations, has appointed Olivia Johnstone as Student Experience and Engagement Officer.
Olivia joins from the University of Sheffield, where she spent five years in student support roles. Her new role will include looking after the welfare of students in the Fortis accommodation and helping to build a strong community.
She will also be organising bespoke events within the developments, which include Sovereign House on Queen Street, Sheffield, comprising 250 luxury apartments with on-site gymnasium, cinema room, games room, laundry and bike store.
Sarah Quinn, drector of Fortis Lettings and Management, said: “Student accommodation has a major impact on students’ wellbeing and on their academic success. A high quality environment and a supportive community is important if they are to thrive at university, particularly those away from home for the first time and from overseas.
“By engaging students and providing dedicated support, Olivia will help to enhance their experience and lay the foundation for their future career.”
Fortis Student Living is a division of the Fortis Property Group. In addition to Sheffield, it offers luxury student studios in Chester, Glasgow, Liverpool, Middlesbrough, Newcastle, Nottingham and Sunderland.
