Damien Downing and Michelle Mills, who work in Drive Dynamics’ Gildersome head office, take on the respective roles of general manager and fleet manager.
The company, which was started ten years ago by Beverley Midgley and Alistair MacDonald, has in excess of 350 driving instructors on its books and boasts a phenomenal pass rate.
Damien joined the Drive Dynamics sales team upon his return from Australia six years ago. Exhibiting an aptitude for IT, he was responsible for implementing a raft of technical improvements, including an entirely new phone system.
A promotion to sales manager after his success in the IT department has now been overshadowed by this more recent promotion.
Michelle joined the company not long after its launch as its first trainee instructor. After successfully passing her qualifications, she began working her way up the Drive Dynamics ladder, beginning by liaising with new driving instructors joining the business.
Drive Dynamics chief executive Beverley Midgley said: “Michelle and Damien are two of our most trusted and popular team members, and their promotions reflect their hard work, dedication and commitment to the company.
The pair of them have grown with the company, and each one has helped shape the continued growth of Drive Dynamics. The skills and knowledge they have at their disposal are invaluable.”
Beverley Added: “We have recently welcomed a number of new members to our growing team and Michelle and Damien will be there to offer them all the help and assistance they require.”
Michelle said: “The team at Drive Dynamics is like a second family to me and I am excited to take on the challenge of being fleet manager.
“Having ‘been there and done that’, I now look forward to the challenges this position will bring me managing our extensive fleet of driving cars.”
Damien said: “Returning to the UK after my time in Australia was initially a temporary move. However, getting a job at Drive Dynamics has to be my best move.”
