Pay as you go energy provider, Utilita Energy, has announced a major new partnership with Leeds United.
Utilita Energy will be Leeds United’s Official Energy Partner for the 2016/17 season – directly helping to fund a number of important club and community projects.
For every Leeds United fan that switches to Utilita Energy, the club will receive £25 – with £20 ring-fenced for its highly respected Academy and £5 for the Leeds United Foundation.
Last month Tyler Denton was the latest in a long line of Academy graduates to make his first team debut.
Two current England internationals – Fabian Delph and Danny Rose – are both former graduates, as are current Premier League stars James Milner, Sam Byram, Lewis Cook and Aaron Lennon.
Meanwhile, the Leeds United Foundation works on community projects driving quality football coaching across the Leeds area, visiting around 200 schools alone.
Utilita Energy head of communications Jem Maidment said: “This is a terrific opportunity to put us right at the heart of Leeds United’s outstanding community work – and their exciting future.
“Not only will we play an active role in the coaching of youngsters across Leeds and West Yorkshire, we will also be helping fund the search for the stars of tomorrow.
“We’ll do this by partnering with the Club to highlight our outstanding products and services to fans. Utilita Energy is growing quickly and we believe Leeds United will significantly help move us to the next level.”
Paul Bell, executive director, Leeds United FC, said: “We are delighted to confirm Utilita Energy as our Official Energy Partner.
“We are hugely excited by this partnership and the opportunities it will deliver for all involved and furthermore the support it will provide to the Academy.”
