hlw Keeble Hawson appoints construction and engineering specialist

hlw Keeble Hawson is building on the success of its commercial property department with the appointment of associate solicitor, Wendy Greenwood – a specialist in construction and engineering.

Ms Greenwood will further boost the capabilities of the department – praised as consistently strong in the latest 2016 Legal 500 Guide – with her expertise in development work, pure construction and other complex transactional work within the construction, engineering and infrastructure industries.

Having amassed a strong reputation in contentious and non-contentious law across wide-ranging sectors in previous roles with national and international law firms, the associate solicitor will also support the firm’s commercial departments on technical construction-specific projects.

Partner and head of commercial property, Richard Smith, said: “Whether producing and negotiating bespoke construction contracts or delivering tailored solutions for technical construction-based disputes, Wendy’s role is key to our increased commissions in this sector

“Her appointment reflects our commitment to continue to deliver the highest levels of advice and implementation in every aspect of building, property development and engineering law.”

Added Ms Greenwood, who is also experienced in contentious and non-contentious law across many sectors, including education, renewable energy, public sector and healthcare: “hlw Keeble Hawson’s strong track record – re-enforced by Legal 500 highlighting its cross-departmental strengths in the manufacturing and engineering sectors – speaks volumes.

“I’m enjoying applying my skills across the corporate and dispute resolution departments and playing an instrumental role in development commissions with the real estate team.”
