Staff at a national driving school, which is based in West Yorkshire, have been celebrating a birthday milestone.
Drive Dynamics marked the tenth anniversary of its founding with a party attended by local long-serving driving instructors, many who have been with the company since year one.
The company, which has more than 350 driving instructors located throughout the UK, was started by Beverley Midgley and Alistair McDonald, and is based in Drighlington, between Leeds and Bradford.
Two of those attending the event were David Bedford, who began his Drive Dynamics career in December 2006, and Keith Hitchen, who joined the firm 11 months later.
Drive Dynamics chief executive Beverley Midgley said: “When we set off a decade ago on the Drive Dynamics journey, we did not really know where it would lead to.
“Now, ten years later, we have 300 plus driving instructors, a fleet of more than 300 vehicles and a 20-strong sales and customer services team, who work out of our Yorkshire headquarters.
“We have calculated that since we signed up our first learner driver in 2006, we have successfully helped more than 300,000 drivers pass their driving tests.
“We have also helped countless others get back behind the wheel after a break from driving, as well as training drivers to become driving instructors.
“From a very humble beginning we are now one of the country’s largest, privately-owned driving schools, and we are the ‘most liked’ driving school on Facebook.”
Beverley added: “It’s been an interesting and exciting ten years. We have grown beyond our wildest expectations, and the journey is no way near its completion.
“In fact, I think we may not even be half way through it and I know we have many more miles ahead of us!”
