Leeds Beckett University has been shortlisted for a digital marketing award, following the redevelopment of its website last year.
Alongside Delete, the Leeds digital experience specialists who designed and delivered the site, the University is shortlisted in the “Best Public Sector Website, App or Campaign” category for The Drum DADI Awards 2016, taking place on 19th October – a prestigious digital marketing award.
The new site, which launched last year and has already won a Gold Award for Best Education Marketing at the Heist Awards, involved a totally fresh strategy for the website architecture from Delete, to meet the needs of today’s digitally savvy undergraduate students.
The solution transformed the University’s digital presence into an easy to navigate, user-focused experience destination – in keeping with the website design of big commercial brands and competitors. The aim was to personalise the site experience, as well as attracting and converting an increased number of high calibre applicants, as it is becoming increasingly competitive amongst universities to attract students.
The new website for the University drove an increase in new visitors by over 18 per cent, as well as the number of open day registrations across all of Leeds Beckett’s courses, which rose by 20 per cent.
