Winder Power, a manufacturer of power and distribution transformers, has this week recorded a hugely significant four years, the equivalent of 1,460 consecutive days without a lost time or reportable incident, reflecting the company’s resolute effort towards constantly improving its health and safety performance.
Over the years, Winder Power has strengthened its reputation in the UK and internationally as one of the safest and most environmentally responsible manufacturers across its range of services, placing the utmost importance on health and safety.
This four-year milestone is even more impressive when set against the significant and increasing number of employees, which has increased by 60% since 2012, along with the technical nature of the work Winder Power is involved in.
During challenging market conditions in the energy industry, Winder Power remains committed to health and safety, and was awarded in July of this year with a Gold Award at the prestigious RoSPA Awards.
Winder Power’s record extends back to 2012 and encompasses all of Winder Power’s projects across the UK and worldwide, as well as within their own state-of-the-art factory in Leeds.
Laurence MacKenzie, group chief executive of Winder Power Ltd, said: “We at Winder Power are proud to have reached this milestone, it demonstrates our commitment to the safety of our employees and continuous improvement in health and safety management across the business.
“Our customers can be confident in the knowledge that any project we undertake is completed to the highest degree of safety and standards, and this milestone is testament to our position as a trustworthy and safe service provider in the transformer industry.”
