The 160-strong team at Leeds security firm Gough & Kelly has been bolstered with a raft of new recruits and promotions.

Service specialist Andy Dry joins the business as service and installations manager. He brings over 30 years’ industry experience to the role, which will involve leading a team of engineers to make sure that the ever increasing number of contracts on the firm’s books continue to be delivered efficiently, effectively, on time and on budget.

Sean Morgan has been appointed as business development manager from previous operations manager and mentoring roles in the security and manned guarding sectors. As well as supporting the existing control room team, his brief is to develop the CCTV monitoring side of the business to help drive continued growth.

Undergraduate Amy Carmichael has joined Gough & Kelly on a 12-month internship. A student at Leeds Becket University, where she is working towards a degree in accounts and finance, Amy will spend a year in the Gough & Kelly accounts department, working with the existing team to provide support and gain valuable experience in all aspects of financial management.

And former installations engineer Michael Oldfield has been promoted to sales engineer. With 16 years’ experience in a technical role, he will work alongside the sales team in his new role to provide design, pricing and account management support.

Operations director Ian Crawford said: “We’ve recently completed our best year yet, and had a very strong start to the new financial year. Having the right team in place to make sure we continue to win new work and deliver it to the high standards customers expect of us is key, and these new additions to the team – along with Michael’s promotion – put us in a very strong position to achieve the continued growth we are looking for.”

Established in 1988, and with a client portfolio that includes the Tour de Yorkshire, Leeds United Football Club, Morrisons and Volkswagen, Gough & Kelly provides security products and services including CCTV, access control, guarding, fire and intruder alarm systems and mechanical and electrical services to businesses, local authorities, sporting venues, schools, colleges and universities across Yorkshire.
