More than 100 staff from The Coaching Inn Group including The Feathers in Helmsley, The Golden Fleece in Thirsk, The Kings Head Hotel in Richmond and The Old Bridge Hotel in Holmfirth donned festive jumpers to celebrate Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day and spread Christmas spirit, raising over £2,200 for the charity.

Staff ranging from bartenders, chefs and housekeepers to hotel managers and receptionists across the Group’s 13 coaching inns including The Feathers in Helmsley, The Golden Fleece in Thirsk, The Kings Head Hotel in Richmond and The Old Bridge Hotel in Holmfirth showed their true pullover power, donating funds in return for spreading Christmas cheer.

Staff were incentivised by The Coaching Inn Group’s promise to double their fundraising efforts, raising a grand total of £2,212 to help the charity save children’s lives around the world.

The Coaching Inn Group CEO Kevin Charity said: “We’re incredibly proud of the team spirit and competitive fun that exists between our 13 sites, which we’ve seen in the way our teams have embraced Christmas Jumper Day.  Not only was it the day that taste forgot, it also saw some of our team members show their true creative side, accessorising their Christmas jumpers with a whole host of decorations.

“More importantly, together we’ve raised funds that will make a real difference to children’s lives.”

The Coaching Inn Group has 13 historic venues across the UK and has built a strong reputation in the industry for transforming high quality coaching inns.
