Leeds Trinity University is hosting an event this month for organisations in Leeds wanting to grow their business by developing their workforce.
The free informative networking event will provide information about: apprenticeships, including the development of new degree apprenticeships; business-led training courses and workshops; and support available through the Leeds City Region Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP).
Ian Rowe, director of business development at Leeds Trinity University, said: “In the wake of Brexit and the uncertainties it brings, businesses, and particularly those with supply chains reliant on European partnerships, need to be ready for change. We’re working closely with the Supply Chain Academy to run this event, aimed at enterprises across Yorkshire, of all sizes – who are concerned about the impact of Brexit on business growth and development.”
Speakers at the event include Catherine Lunn, apprenticeships manager at Leeds City Region LEP and Alex Mortimer, director of people development at the Uniserve Group, the UK’s leading independent Logistics, Trade and Management Provider.
The keynote speaker is Dr Evri Lampadarious, Business Manager for Europe and the Middle East at White Sea and Baltic Company Ltd.; a distributor of speciality and tailor-made chemicals to a global customer base, based in Horsforth.
All businesses are invited to attend the event, which takes place from 5.30pm–8pm on Wednesday 29 March. Refreshments and a light buffet will be served.
