Digital creative agency Tall has acquired fellow Yorkshire digital agency 79 following an intensive period of collaboration.
Recognising the increasing demand from clients for the fusion of digital creative and technological expertise the alliance will pool the award-winning, combined talents of both teams to offer existing and prospective clients an expanded service.
The first brand formally to benefit from the agencies joining forces and expanded offering is SkyBet. Tall have been commissioned by SkyBet to support them in improving their acquisition advertising across SkySports online platforms. Results have given an uplift of up to 54 per cent on the best performing banners.
The agencies’ marriage comes at a time when Leeds has identified creative and digital industries as a key growth sector. Leeds City Region contributes £3bn GVA1 to the regional economy, with digital jobs in the region predicted to grow at 10 times the rate of non-digital.

79, which was previously based in Huddersfield, was set up in 2004 by director Behrooz Saeed who has made the move to Tall. The agency’s aim was to help organisations take advantage of digital by providing an award-winning design service alongside a deep understanding of technology. Significant clients included Bathstore, Chiltern Railways and Stagecoach.
The acquisition will strengthen Tall’s offering across a range of technical services such as .net development, email marketing, CRM and data management.
