Hospitality group James’ Places has scooped a major regional award for tourism and leisure.
The business, which owns Falcon Manor at Settle and The Royal at Kirkby Lonsdale along with a number of venues in the Ribble Valley, was named best Leisure and Tourism Business in the Red Rose Awards held at Blackpool Winter Gardens.
The ceremony was attended by 1,100 industry leaders and businesses from across the region.
Group marketing manager Heidi Kettle said: “We are delighted to have won this Red Rose Award, beating off competition from five other shortlisted businesses following a robust process of selection, written submission and interviews.
“It tops off a year of incredible and exciting times for James’ Places as we have opened and continue with our £10m development of Holmes Mill in Clitheroe, at the same time as ensuring all our venues around the North West continue to thrive.”
The judges commented that James’ Places was a fantastic hospitality ambassador for Lancashire with a clear commitment to investment, and referenced the group’s range of high quality venues which attract visitors from all over the world.
