Businesses have the chance to win a year’s free membership at Harrogate District Chamber when they visit this year’s Yorkshire Business Market.
Any business from the Harrogate district that has not been a member before will be eligible to enter a free prize draw for a membership worth up to £300.
The membership entitles the business owner – or any member of staff – to attend meetings and take part in networking events for free.
Chamber chief executive Sandra Doherty said: “This has been a year of change for the chamber, including a change in management.
“We have many fantastic businesses who have been members for years, as well as some very interesting and inspiring new businesses joining us. However, we’re aware that there are many business owners and managers who have perhaps never considered joining the chamber or never got around to it.
“We hope the potential of a year’s free membership will be appealing to businesses of all sizes and across all sectors.”
As well as offering networking opportunities, the chamber’s monthly meetings focus on topics relevant to local businesses, from the need for new employment land and improved public transport to using social media effectively.
The organisation also has a long track record of campaigning on behalf of local businesses, including its recent work to increase the number of direct trains to London and to improve the local train services to Leeds and York.
Representatives will be on hand to discuss the chamber’s work at Yorkshire Business Market, which takes place at Pavilions of Harrogate on Monday, April 24 from 10am. The prize of a year’s membership will be awarded to a business whose name is drawn at the end of the event.
