NOF Energy, the UK energy sector business development organisation, is hosting a significant supply chain event in Humberside to enable local companies to establish new relationships with international energy services company Wood Group.
Taking place on 8 June at the Humber Royal Hotel in Grimsby, the event supports Wood Group’s strategy to broaden its service provision into additional sectors.
Operating in more than 40 countries, Wood Group designs, modifies, constructs and operates industrial facilities, predominately in the oil & gas sector. The company is extending the scale and scope of its core services into adjacent industries including the midstream and downstream markets.
The company has identified the North of England as a key location to enhance its supply chain, through building relationships with experienced and innovative companies from the area.
It is aiming to build long-term strategic partnerships with companies that can offer services and capabilities including civil services, plant and equipment hire, valve maintenance, inspection and fabrication.
Wood Group is also keen to build relationships with suppliers offering rigging, lifting and working at height equipment, craneage, waste management, transport, electrical bulks, fittings, bolts, gaskets, tools and consumables.
At the event Wood Group will highlight its strategic ambitions, its current UK project portfolio and how it engages with potential suppliers. Representatives from the company will also take part in a number of one-to-one meetings with a selection of potential partners to enable suppliers to showcase their products and services.
Supported by the Humber LEP and other business networks including HCF Catch, Grimsby Renewables Partnership and Team Humber Marine Alliance, the event is organised by NOF Energy, which represents more than 450 member companies across the UK from the supply chains in oil, gas, offshore renewables and power sectors.
NOF Energy works closely with its Strategic Partners, such as Wood Group, and members of its supply chain network to help build new relationships that can lead to securing new work for its members.
