Awards momentum accelerates for fuel card distributor

The Right Fuelcard Company (TRFC) has been shortlisted for an award which recognises its commitment to create opportunities for disadvantaged and long-term unemployed jobseekers.

The business, an independent distributor of Shell, Esso, Keyfuels and UK Fuels cards to UK businesses, is in the final line up of the SME of the year category of the Employment Related Services Association (ERSA) Employability Awards.

The accolades showcase and champion best practice across the employment support sector. They acknowledge the breadth of work – which varies from advisers helping jobseekers to build their confidence – to employers who go the extra mile to support jobseekers with greater needs.

The Bayford Foundation – a dedicated training arm run by TRFC – is also shortlisted in the SME of the Year category. Both TRFC and the Foundation were nominated by employment provider, Novus.

Business director, Adam Walsh, said: “The shortlisting reinforces our ongoing commitment to create opportunities for disadvantaged and long-term unemployed jobseekers to fulfil their potential. Our ethos and culture is to look beyond individuals’ situation, identify inner talent – then work with them to tap into innate skills and positive behaviours.”

The winners of the Employability Awards will be announced at a special ceremony held in London on 29 June.

TRFC was ranked 33 in the Sunday Times Best Small Companies to Work For 2016.
