A North Yorkshire hotel is putting the finishing touches to its annual music and beer festival, which begins this Friday afternoon.
Thousands of visitors from across the region and beyond are expected to flock to the White Bear Hotel, in Masham, for this family-friendly three-day event, helping to promote some of the best beers the country’s craft brewing industry has to offer.
Now in its 16th year, the yearly festival, which begins on the afternoon of Friday, June 23, will feature 30 cask ales, lagers and ciders, with top local bands and solo artists catering for a wide range of musical tastes.
And, because the White Bear is owned by world-famous Masham brewery, T&R Theakston Ltd, its collection of iconic beers will be out in force, including favourites such as Old Peculier, Lightfoot and Theakston’s Best Bitter.
Sue Thomas, General Manager of the White Bear Hotel, said: “Once again our annual beer and music festival is almost upon us and we are gearing up for what we know will be another fantastic weekend.
“Now in its 16th year, it is one of the highlights of our calendar and an event that is looked forward to by many people, and not just by those who love real ales.
“Those who attend our beer festival come from all over the region, and further afield, with many coming year after year to soak up the wonderful atmosphere this event delivers.
“We have a superb selection of beers, ales and lagers from a host of different breweries for the visitors to sample and plenty of food on offer created by our team of talented chefs.
“Additionally we have a great musical lineup, with the first act taking to the stage at 6pm on Friday, culminating with a traditional jazz offering on Sunday lunchtime.”
The entertainment line up is as follows:
6pm- 8pm The Motive
9pm-11pm The Collective
3pm-5pm Rendez Manouche
9pm-11pm Citizen Smith
Trad Jazz from 1pmish
