A free workshop to help new businesses overcome initial challenges such as funding, recruitment and marketing, is being held at Leeds Trinity University on Wednesday 5 July 2017.
Supporting your start-up is aimed at solopreneurs and SMEs less than three years old, and is funded through AD:VENTURE; a new project to support businesses to grow in the Leeds City Region.
Louise Miller, AD:VENTURE project manager at Leeds Trinity University, said: “Starting a business isn’t easy, but support is available! Our workshop will bring together businesses of similar stages of set-up, similar sizes and similar sectors.
“It offers opportunities for discussion and networking with experienced business leaders, and aims to address common business problems that we’ve all encountered!”
Following a welcome presentation from Leeds Trinity University, businesses will be split into small groups for a workshop task and discussion. There will be a chance to feedback to the room, before opportunities for networking.
After the event, a yearly calendar of specialist workshops will be developed, for eligible businesses to access for free. Supporting your start-up provides a chance for businesses to feed in to these plans; sharing key areas for concern and development.
The event takes place on Wednesday 5 July, 5.30pm – 8pm at Leeds Trinity University. It’s free and includes refreshments. For more information and to register, visit www.leedstrinity.ac.uk/events.
