Northern has appointed MCG to help promote its wide-ranging We Are Northern marketing campaign, which highlights the opportunities for great days out from its stations across the north of England.
The integrated marketing campaign comprises digital, content creation, employee engagement, PR and experiential. MCG delivered a successful one-off project for the campaign last year and has now been retained to create engaging content as well as execute a series of media and blogger campaigns, stunts and experiential activity to showcase the variety of locations, attractions and natural beauty throughout the north of England.
Northern’s head of brand and business development Joanne Morley said: “We want to inspire and excite people living in the north of England about the great destinations we can take them to. Our network of 450 stations enables us to take people right into the heart of our region, stopping at remote villages as well as thriving cities.
“We’ll be unveiling some hidden gems and encouraging people to explore this vibrant and exciting part of the country, tapping in to Northerners’ wit, warmth, pride in their culture and landscape, focussing on areas including walking, food and drink and heritage.
“The team at MCG has impressed us with their understanding of the brief, results-driven attitude and their creative ideas, which will amplify the campaign during the coming months.”
