Cleckheaton based worldwide logistics enterprise, Sabre Ocean Solutions, has advanced its position to become highlighted by the London Stock Exchange Group as one of the 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain.
To be included in the list, companies needed to show consistent revenue growth over a minimum of three years, significantly outperforming their industry peers.
Led by founder Lee Meadowcroft, the front guard company arranges the import or export of cargo across the world, specialising in the movement of goods from China, Taiwan and other Far Eastern locations, as well as the USA, Australia, Malaysia and India.
A family run business, Sabre has the advantage of flexibility over larger competitors, adapting quickly to changing market and client needs to provide razor sharp customer service. The business has grown exponentially with revenues of £15 – £20 million this year.
In 2016 Sabre was awarded Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) Status by the HMRC, a stance which defined Sabre as a respected logistics firm certified to standards relating to security, management systems, customs compliance and ongoing solvency.
Xavier Rolet, chief executive of the London Stock Exchange Group, said: “The ‘1000 Companies to Inspire Britain’ report continues to highlight the dynamic, entrepreneurial and ambitious businesses across the country that are boosting UK productivity, driving economic growth and creating jobs.
“These companies are the very heart of an ‘anti-fragile’ economy: more robust; more flexible and less prone to boom and bust.”
