Leeds-based Castlehouse Construction has kicked off sponsorship of local junior football club, Gomersal and Cleckheaton Football Club.
The firm is set to sponsor the club’s football strip as part of its community engagement programme to build stronger local links.
Gomersal and Cleckheaton FC, which is affiliated with the West Riding FA, has been established for almost 40 years and supports a range of boys and girls teams from under sixes through to under 18s.
The Club’s aim is to provide facilities to promote the participation of the whole community in football.
Richard Lumley, director at Castlehouse Construction, said: “We’re delighted to become official club sponsors of Gomersal and Cleckheaton FC and to champion footballing talent at grassroots level.
“We hope our investment and support will boost facilities at the club, strengthen community ties and help the young players achieve their footballing goals.”
Shaun Hamill from Gomersal and Cleckheaton FC said: “Gomersal & Cleckheaton is one of the longest established junior football clubs in the area with more than 265 kids registered to play for us.
“We bring kids from all backgrounds in to play and enjoy the game of football. With the amazing financial support from Castlehouse we have been able to buy new football kits and equipment for the kids to use.
“People are often shocked by the cost of running a junior football team so this money will go a long way in supporting us and the kids. We thank the business and all concerned for this support.”
