West Yorkshire solicitors Wilkinson Woodward have reached the shortlist in the 2017 Calderdale Community Spirit Awards.

In recognition of their ongoing support for local charity The Next Step Trust, the Halifax based law firm has been shortlisted in the Corporate and Community Partnership category.

Organised by The Community Foundation for Calderdale, the awards celebrate the work of local charitable organisations.

For over a decade Wilkinson Woodward has supported the work of the Trust by handling their legal work on a pro bono basis and hosting fundraising events. The firm’s Managing Director, Maureen Cawthorn, has been a trustee of the charity since 2008. The Next Step Trust supports young adults with learning disabilities and/or complex health needs.

Winners will be announced at a glittering ceremony on September 28.
