Tiny Toes Ballet, an innovative ballet school for babies and toddlers aged six months to seven years, has launched in Leeds, with classes in Otley, Menston and Guiseley.
The new Leeds franchise is run by local mum and drama teacher Louise Hodgson. She decided to launch Tiny Toes Ballet in her area because she saw it as a perfect opportunity to introduce young children to the joys of dance.
Louise said: “I decided to launch a Tiny Toes franchise now as both of my children are at school, and I wanted a new challenge in my career. I wanted my next career move to be something I truly enjoyed and believed in, and I wanted to work for myself. I needed a role that would work around family life.”
She added: “Tiny Toes is different in that the syllabus incorporates dance, music and theatre – all aspects of my background. Children are encouraged to use their imagination, play and most of all have fun.
“The programme is a gentle, fun and informal introduction to ballet and dance. It moves away from the formal, quite daunting reputation of dance classes, while still teaching children the fundamentals of ballet.”
